Lord Matthew Grey is married to Liza Esmerelda Valentina Grey, who is now the ghost for Ravenclaw house. He has been searching for his wife since his death, and has taken refuge in Italy thinking that he will never see her again. Lord Matthew Grey was married before Liza however, to a cold stone bitch he was forced into marrying. She was pregnant, but both she and the baby died during child birth, which Liza was later blamed for. The two secretly elloped and were married privately and lived happily together as man and wife for a short time, all of 3 months.
Lord Matthew Grey was known as a ladies man in his time, but it is a gross overstatement. The Lord being well, a Lord and very handsome young man had women falling at his feet, he didn't really resist the women that did. However, in social situations he was usually the quiet one, because he was socially awkward. This lack of socialibilty was seen as pride, and a way to get women, it wasn't. Matthew although very kind hearted, and charming once you know him is quick to temper, and is often all too worried about what others think of him.
I like to think of him as a bad tempered Mr. Darcey...with great hair, and a tight ass...*looks innocent*
